  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar (for topping)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (for topping)
  • 1/4 tsp ground green cardamom (for topping)
  • pinch of salt (for topping)
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter (melted, for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, light brown sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt for the topping. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, cream softened butter with white and light brown sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Add buttermilk and sour cream to the butter mixture; stir until combined.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Gently fold in cranberry sauce.
  7. Spoon batter into greased muffin tins and sprinkle the crumb topping generously on each muffin.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
