  • 16 chocolate batons (or 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate)

Instructions

  2. Flatten the butter between parchment paper into a rectangle and chill until firm.
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and enclose the chilled butter layer completely.
  4. Roll out the dough into a long rectangle and perform a letter fold; refrigerate after each fold three times.
  5. Cut the final dough into triangles and place chocolate batons at the base before rolling them up to form croissants.
  6. Allow the rolled croissants to rise until doubled in size; then bake at 425°F for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
