- 2 tsp. sea salt, divided
- 1 tsp. fresh cracked pepper, divided
- 1 tsp. oregano, divided
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. paprika, divided
- 8 oz. turkey strips
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 6 chicken thighs
- 1 large shallot
- 3 cloves garlic, grated or pressed
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 stick of butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 large peaches, sliced
- Fresh basil and additional fresh thyme for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In a skillet, cook turkey strips over medium heat for 3 minutes until dark red. Remove and set aside.
- Sear the seasoned chicken thighs in the same skillet until golden brown on both sides.
- Sauté shallots in olive oil before adding garlic; cook until fragrant.
- Deglaze the pan with chicken broth and let simmer for 3 minutes.
- Stir in butter and honey until melted; return chicken to the skillet along with thyme sprigs.
- Bake covered in the oven for 15 minutes; then add sliced peaches on top and broil for an additional 3–5 minutes until softened.
- Serve garnished with fresh herbs.
