  • 2 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, spooned & leveled
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup salted butter, cubed & cold
  • 1 cup cold buttermilk
  • 1 and 1/4 cups cold heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar


Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries by combining them with sugar in a bowl; refrigerate.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients for the biscuits and cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Stir in buttermilk until a dough forms, then shape and fold as directed.
  4. Cut out biscuits, chill them briefly, then bake at 400°F (204°C) for about 20-24 minutes.
  5. Whip cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  6. Assemble by slicing cooled biscuits and layering with strawberries and whipped cream.
