Ingredients
- 6 large organic lemons
- 1 litre lemon juice
- 400 grams sugar
- 1.2 litres filtered water
Instructions
- Wash the lemons thoroughly and peel them using a vegetable peeler, avoiding the bitter white pith.
- Place the lemon peels in a glass jar with your chosen alcohol and let them infuse in a cool, dark place for one month. Shake the jar occasionally to enhance flavor development.
- After infusion, strain out the lemon peels.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and filtered water; heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Allow it to cool before mixing it with the infused alcohol.
- Bottle your limoncello (alcohol free)and allow it to rest for at least ten days before serving.
