Ingredients

  • 6 large organic lemons
  • 1 litre lemon juice
  • 400 grams sugar
  • 1.2 litres filtered water


Instructions

  1. Wash the lemons thoroughly and peel them using a vegetable peeler, avoiding the bitter white pith.
  2. Place the lemon peels in a glass jar with your chosen alcohol and let them infuse in a cool, dark place for one month. Shake the jar occasionally to enhance flavor development.
  3. After infusion, strain out the lemon peels.
  4. In a saucepan, combine sugar and filtered water; heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Allow it to cool before mixing it with the infused alcohol.
  5. Bottle your limoncello (alcohol free)and allow it to rest for at least ten days before serving.
