Ingredients
- 4 cups All-Purpose Flour

- 2 1/4 tsp Instant Yeast
- 1 1/4 cups Cold Whole Milk
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter (cold)
- 16 pieces Chocolate Batons or Semi-Sweet Chocolate
- 1 tbsp Milk (for brushing)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Gradually add cold milk until mixed. Knead on a floured surface until smooth, then let rest for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the cold butter by flattening it between parchment paper into a rectangle; refrigerate.
- Roll out the dough into a larger rectangle and encase the cold butter within it.
- Roll and fold the dough three times, chilling in between each fold.
- Shape croissants by cutting triangles from the final dough and placing chocolate at their base; roll them tightly.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake croissants on a lined baking sheet for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
