- 2 large chicken breasts
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 1/2 cup white apple vinegar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Flour (for dredging)
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
- Add remaining butter to the skillet with sliced mushrooms and Italian seasoning; cook until moisture evaporates (about 5-6 minutes).
- Stir in minced garlic; cook for about a minute until fragrant. Add white apple vinegar and deglaze the pan for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and return seared chicken to the skillet; cook for another 5 minutes until fully cooked through.
