  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • ½ medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ⅔ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup full-fat sour cream


Instructions

  1. Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and coat in flour.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until browned on all sides; remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and remaining olive oil. Sauté mushrooms and onions until golden brown.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic; cook for about 1 minute.
  5. Add chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any bits from the bottom. Return chicken to the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat to low; gently stir in sour cream until warmed through without boiling. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
