Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 ounces skinless boneless chicken breast
  • 1 pound mixed vegetables (your choice)
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Toasted sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate sliced chicken in water, salt, baking soda, and cornstarch for about 10 minutes.
  2. Whisk together sauce ingredients: water, soy sauce, sugar, optional bouillon powder, dark soy sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken until browned and fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from the pan.
  4. In the same pan, add more oil if needed, then stir-fry mixed vegetables with garlic and ginger until tender-crisp.
  5. Return chicken to the pan and pour sauce over everything; mix well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
