- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Incorporate cold butter using a pastry cutter until coarse crumbs form.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, ice water, and lemon juice; add to flour mixture and stir until combined.
- Divide dough into two pieces, flatten into rectangles, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Toss sliced apples with sugars, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, lemon juice, and vanilla.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.
- Roll out the larger dough piece to fit the pan and press it in. Add apple filling evenly.
