  4. Add chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, zest, parsley, thyme, and optional red pepper flakes. Allow to simmer until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over each piece, cover, and simmer on low for an additional 10 minutes.
