  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, grated
  • 2 cups light cream
  • 1 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes + 1 tablespoon oil from the jar
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 3/4 box of thin linguini (or other long noodles)
  • Reserved pasta water


Instructions

  1. Create a sun-dried tomato paste by blending chopped sun-dried tomatoes with oil from the jar until smooth.
  2. Cook linguini in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water before draining.
  3. In a large non-stick pan, melt butter over medium heat; add garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, thyme, and bouillon powder.
  4. Pour in light cream and let it warm up without boiling. Stir in Parmesan cheese, tomato paste, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and fresh basil.
  5. Simmer for about 5–7 minutes. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Add drained noodles to the sauce and stir until evenly coated.
