  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for glaze)
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mash bananas with brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  3. Cream softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs until well combined.
  5. Sift in flour, baking soda, and salt; stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in the banana mixture until evenly mixed.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35–40 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
