Ingredients

  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 cup water (for syrup)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tea bags (family size)
  • 8 cups water (divided)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: sliced lemon and strawberries for garnish


Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberry syrup by boiling quartered strawberries with 1 cup of water for about 10-15 minutes until softened. Strain out the pulp, stir in sugar until dissolved, then boil for an additional minute before cooling.
  2. Brew the tea concentrate by boiling 4 cups of water, steeping tea bags in a heat-proof container for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and add remaining cold water.
  3. Once cooled, mix the strawberry syrup into the brewed tea until well combined.
  4. Serve over ice in chilled glasses and garnish with fresh strawberries or mint sprigs if desired.
