  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 teaspoons wasabi
  • 2 cups short-grain white rice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 8 oz salmon fillet


Instructions

  1. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, mix with rice vinegar and let cool.
  2. Slice the salmon, avocado, and cucumber into thin strips.
  3. On a bamboo sushi mat, place a nori sheet shiny side down.
  4. Spread a thin layer of rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch strip uncovered at the top.
  5. Layer salmon, avocado, and cucumber horizontally across the center of the rice.
  6. Roll tightly away from you using the mat to help shape it. Seal with water.
  7. Cut each roll into 8 pieces using a sharp knife.
