  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) chili beans (in sauce)
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1 cup Fritos corn chips
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa


Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chili seasoning mix, chili beans, kidney beans, and diced tomatoes to the skillet. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until heated through.
  3. In a large bowl or serving dish, layer the shredded lettuce as the base.
  4. Spoon the chili mixture over the lettuce and top with cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, diced onion, and black olives if desired.
  5. Just before serving, sprinkle Fritos corn chips on top for crunch.
  6. Mix sour cream with salsa and drizzle over the salad or serve on the side.
