  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 42.6 g butter
  • 32 g sugar
  • 80-90 g cranberries
  • 80-90 g raisins
  • 60-70 g currants
  • 80-90 g dry whole cherries (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla sugar or pure vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients by measuring them accurately.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and spices.
  3. In another bowl, mix warm water, melted butter, sugar, and vanilla.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until dough forms; add dried fruits.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  6. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for about 90 minutes or until doubled.
  7. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, place it in a greased pan, and let rise again for about an hour.
  8. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for approximately 40 minutes until golden brown.
