- ½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ Tablespoon cinnamon
- ¼ cup butter (cubed)
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2½ teaspoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, egg, and buttermilk until well combined.
- Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the greased dish. Layer with prepared streusel mixture if applicable. Top with remaining batter and sprinkle extra streusel on top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
