  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp fine salt
  • 3/4 cup salted peanuts, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp fine salt
  • 7 cups powdered sugar
  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 8 Mini Snickers bars
  • 1/2 cup salted peanuts, chopped for the base of the cake


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare four 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper and non-stick spray.
  2. In a bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk warm water, buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually combine with dry ingredients.
  4. Divide batter among pans and bake for 22-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  5. For the frosting: Cream butter and sugar until light; add cream gradually and mix in chopped peanuts.
  6. Assemble by layering cakes with frosting in between each layer.
  7. For ganache: Heat cream until boiling; pour over chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
  8. Pour ganache over the assembled cake and top with chopped Mini Snickers bars and peanuts as desired.
