Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, mix melted butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Gradually stir in dry ingredients until just combined; fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Press dough into a greased 9-inch metal cake pan evenly.
  6. Bake for 23–28 minutes until edges are golden brown and center is set but slightly soft.
  7. Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes before frosting.
