  • 4 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 tbs unsalted butter, room temperature

  • 3 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-3 tbs whole milk


Instructions

  1. Prepare the cherry filling by cooking frozen cherries with sugar and cornstarch until thickened; set aside.
  2. Activate yeast in warm water, then combine with milk, sugar, and eggs in a mixing bowl.
  3. Gradually mix in flour and salt; knead in butter until smooth.
  4. Allow the dough to rise until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough, spread with cherry filling, roll tightly, and cut into pieces.
  6. Let rolls rise again before baking at 350°F (175°C) for about 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Prepare frosting by beating together softened butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla; drizzle over warm rolls.
