  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole-rolled old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 35 caramel squares
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add brown sugar and vanilla; whisk until smooth.
  3. Stir in flour, oats, baking soda, and optional salt until combined.
  4. Spread half of the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, melt caramel squares with heavy cream in the microwave until smooth.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven; sprinkle with chocolate chips and pour melted caramel over the top.
  7. Crumble remaining mixture over everything and return to the oven for an additional 15-18 minutes until golden.
