  3. In another bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition. Stir in mashed bananas.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
